RESPONSIBILITY AND RISKS ACCEPTANCE
I declare that I am voluntarily participating in the heliski Fagaras trip provided by the Operator. The trip shall be extended to the time of my arrival to the lodge till my departure and involves all activities I may participate in during the trip. My participation in all the activities is expression of my free will.
I am aware that helicopter skiing/snowboarding has, in addition to the usual dangers and risks inherent in the sport of skiing/snowboarding, certain additional dangers and risks, including but not limited to:
1. AVALANCHES – which may frequently occur in the mountain terrain used for helicopter skiing/snowboarding and may be caused. The danger of avalanches includes the risk of failure of avalanche safety and rescue equipment and techniques and any negligence in the training or use thereof.
2. MOUNTAIN TERRAIN – mountainous areas with steep slopes in their natural state have many obstacles and hazards (such as cliffs, breakable snow crust, ice, wild animals, etc.), may not have been skied previously and are not regularly examined. Skiing and snowboarding on the wild slopes (free ride) might be more difficult than skiing and snowboarding in normal conditions. The communication in mountainous terrain may be difficult and rescue and medical treatment may not be available.
3. HELICOPTER TRAVEL – with its inherent risks has the additional risks posed by mountainous areas and in extreme weather conditions. There are also risks connected with the movement of people around the helicopter at pick-up and drop-off spots.
4. SNOWMOBILES – their conduct may represent a danger of an accident caused by human factor or mechanical/technical failure. The conduct of snowmobiles in the mountain areas presents additional risks.
5. WEATHER AND ALTITUDE - weather conditions may be extreme and can change rapidly without warning, creating risk of hypothermia or physical exertion.
6. WILDLIFE – the behaviour of wild animals is not predictable and can result in injury or death.
I assume and accept all the inherent risks listed above or those that can reasonably be inferred there from as well the possibility of personal injury, death, property damage or loss resulting there from. In such a case I declare that I shall not assert damage claims of any nature against the Operator or any legal subjects or person hired by him.
I am aware that the helicopter skiing/snowboard takes place in remote uninhabited areas where the access to medical services, rescue possibilities and evacuation is difficult.
I acknowledge that the enjoyment and excitement of the helicopter skiing or snowboarding is derived in part from inherent risks incurred in the activity.
I declare that my answers on the Application form are correct and that I have not withheld any information about my mental and physical state or health that might determine my ability to participate in the trip.
I confirm that I possess a valid personal medical insurance and valid liability insurance for this trip.
I further acknowledge and agree that while skiing/snowboarding I shall at all times follow the guides’ instruction. I understand that my failure to do so may result in injury or loss of life, to myself or others, and suspension of my skiing/snowboarding privileges.
